As Bharathiyar beautifully said, “Spread your wings and fly… like that little sparrow…”, the entrance to the college looked like a beautiful garden. On either side of the magnificent building, flowering plants and lush trees grew thickly.

Young women and men, standing at the threshold of youth, moved about carefree, spreading their wings and enjoying the freedom of a boundless sky, with not a worry in the world.

“விட்டுச் சிறகடிப்பாய்.. அந்த சிட்டுக் குருவியினைப் போல..” என்று பாரதியார் கூறியது போல அழகான பூங்காவைப் போல இருந்த கல்லூரியின் நுழைவாயில்..! பிரம்மாண்டமான கட்டிடத்தின் இருபக்கமும் மலர்செடியும், மரங்களும் அடர்ந்திருக்க.. இளமையின் தலைவாசலை தொட்டிருந்த யௌவன மங்கையரும், இளைஞர்களும் கவலைகள் ஏதுமின்றி சுதந்திரவானில் சிறகடித்து இருந்தனர்.
